Mina Choi is a Korean-born, Los Angeles–based jazz pianist, composer, and arranger whose music uniquely blends jazz, classical influences, and the rich traditions of her Korean heritage. With years of experience as both a performer and educator in California, Mina’s work reflects her personal journey, characterized by beautiful melodies, intricate rhythms, and colorful harmonies. Bill began his career as pianist and arranger with the Buddy Rich Big Band and worked with Frank Sinatra, Joe Henderson, Freddie Hubbard, Benny Golson and James Moody. He has since established himself as a solo artist and bandleader, with more than a dozen albums under his name. Bill currently plays with his trio; his big band; his Latin band, Imaginación; and his classical-jazz ensemble, Trimotif. He performs in the U.S. and around the world as a leader and sideman as well as a soloist with symphony orchestras. Jaime Van Der Sluys is a Southern California–based performer, educator, studio singer, arranger, and songwriter originally from Georgia. Known for her sincere musical approach, wide stylistic range, and engaging stage presence, she performs regularly throughout the greater Los Angeles area and across the country. Her solo performance credits include Herb Alpert’s Vibrato Jazz Grill, the Dolby Theatre (Pitch Perfect 3 premiere), Disneyland’s Club 1901, The Queen Mary, and the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas.
